i was going through some of my old myspace posts and just happened to find this link....i know it has almost been over a year since murderfest happened, well like 8 months, but i will tell you what happened. I was one of the people involved with murderfest, i handled all of the out of town promotion, dealing with bands and managing the whole fest. i have no clue where the 24 people came from, but there was like 400...although 400 is actually quite a few people, it is nowhere the amount we needed or what should have been at this fest. i think we needed about 1,200 kids to break even. all i know is that 75% of the people there were from out of town. Houston is a huhe ass city, and where the venue was located was like an hour south of any of the scenes in houston...no one wanted to drive all the way down to south houston for this show...plus in houston, if it isn't norma jean or as i lay dying or something, the dumb fashion kids wont go out and support, but our hardcore scnee is strong, i guess we should have added some hardcore bands......well anyways, mike, the main dude behind this huge fuck up bailed on my ass...i found out that he really did have a heart attack, which i thought he was faking the whole time...turns out he had an infection in his throat and it led to his heart and i guess an infection can cause a heart attack.....mike is wanted dead by a lot of bands and people, but since he wasn't really involved with the fest and none of the bands saw him really, they dont know who fucked them over...well what he looked like....he was drinking beer w/cattle decap and they were talking mad shit about "mike" and had no clue they were actually talking with him....well probably no one cares about this crap anymore, i was just letting all of you guys know what happened..
