Just got back from the Akercocke show. Most of the opening bands were gay, but Akercocke pretty much made it worth it. Marsi introduced me to the bassist and she had the bright idea of telling the guy that I hated the new album. That was nice and awkward for me. But I talked to him for a while and he totally understood what I was saying. He mentioned his fav band was Skinny Puppy, but he only likes 3 of their albums and thinks the rest are shit. Sorta the same when people ask me about Asphyx and I say God Cries is a piece of garbage. Every band has a dud, and I think the new one is Akercocke's [so far anyway..]

Porphyria [or however you spell it] was very disappointing. I heard a song or two on MySpace and they sounded ok, but live they just sounded like a Suffocation clone. Why do bands clone those retards? I'll never know.

Dimentision [or however you spell THAT] was alright. Better than watching wigger DM.

Watchmaker fucking blows. At least when Marsi had me talk to the guitarist after they said the band isn't serious and they've only practiced 5 times this year. I guess it's better knowing they're not even trying.

Vehemence was ok. They had a handful of good parts, but most of it was drown out by football riffs.

Akercocke played too much new stuff that I didn't like, but the couple they played from Goat of Mendes sounded good. I totally NEED to find out what guitars they were using. They were awesome and I need to own one. I have the feeling they're going to be a million bucks, but I have money to waste, so hopefully I'll add one to my collection soon.

I left before Mortician because I've seen them 248248 times and thats 924984980409489 times too many.

Picked up 10 new CD's that I'm sure will be my whole playlist for next time. Getting #499 out of 500 of the Funerus CD made me happy because I was looking for that for a while now. Great band. Most of the other stuff I haven't heard, I just bought it because it was recommended to me. Oh well.
