Christian Bale and Morgan Freeman are great actors, and they were pretty much the saving grace. the portrayal of Bruce Waynes parents death was different than the first Batman, and was horribly acted. i am no Batman extraordinaire, but i thought the whole movie could have been done better. it was cool to know of his origins, but it was more or less another pointless reason to put the name "Batman" in a movie.
