My dinkey had waaaay more low end and less tone, my neck through has waaay more tone and less bottom end, though with the right sound the lowness is a non issue. I personally prefer Tone, clarity and Sustain, which my neckthrough v has all of the above. I have noticed a difference when recording though. But, those familiar with Shroud stuff, my best guitar sound ever was on "Rose" and that song, I used a bolt on Dinkey. So go figure! Again, it's all Taste really
