I think you are missing the point buddy

There is only one real reason to bring up what christianity did in the 1500's, and that's to thumb your nose at people who say that we should stand up to mulsim tyrants now. Even when you're just pointing out the reason why many people are christian, it's just a way to get back to the original "if it happened 500 years ago, you can't criticize" argument.
