It's not better than 2 or especially 3 - some of the MGS4 boss battles weren't what they could have been, but still a fantastic "end" to the series. Maybe I'll like it better when I play through it again in the future with the ultra hard difficulty unlocked. To it's credit though, the ending to MGS4 is about as good as a series final can get.
