I don't necessarily only like "dark beers" so to speak. The color of the beer really doesn't have much weight on the alcohol content and/or flavor- if you think so you are just falling for the myth. Most Belgian ales, although they are not entirely see-through, are usually blond or semi-copper tone and they are just as brutal if not more than a lot of "dark" colored beers. I guess when it comes down to it, to be more specific, I like heavy beers - meaning heavy taste and an above average alcohol content.
