Wikipedia: The group are generally acknowledged as the group that invented the "Grindcore" genre, a fusion of thrash metal and hardcore punk. And i remember one of the guys from Napalm Death saying he came up with the term grind because the sound was like grinding those two sounds together. so if grindcore is hardcore punk mixed with thrash metal than in essence isn't grindcore and metalcore the same fucking thing??
