I went with a firewire interface.

I found it for cheaper then the USB and it's better quality and came with software.

for 330 bucks, couldn't beat it.

I knew what i was getting into with the rate of firewire popularity, but it will work pretty good for now. I'm expecting to make my money back with it recording local bands and shit.
