as an(old) metalhead who likes hardcore too, I agree with the fact that hardcore kids like to fight way too much. Back in the day, TT the Bears had great shows if you can beleive it. In the 80's I saw there: Nuclear Assault/Ludichrist, Voivod/Kreator, DRI, Agnostic Front, COC, The Mentors, etc etc. Anyways, At the A.F show, all I wanted to do was get close enough to see the band, but got punched in the face immediately upon getting within 20 feet from the stage, Same with COC and DRI. The hardcore kids were just such assholes. Im not saying that all hardcore kids are assholes, but a lot of them just want to fight. Metal is definitely more of a family type scene with more respect for others, thats for sure.
