Mine was 87, she suffered a stroke last year and pretty much died, but my father being the bleeding heart douche that he is, left her on life support for a whole year. Claiming "Bobby, I just can't kill my mother, I want to give the best quality of life I can" to which my response was "she all ready is DEAD, the machine is making her breathe, what the hell kind of quality of life is that?" the he hung up on me.
I know from personal experience how hard it is to pull the plug, but for me I understand the reality of the situation. So people just don't understand that sometimes you have to separate emotion from logic.
