Migraines are really horrible headaches (I have only ever had one) that some people get really really bad (and for a really long time too). They usually feel like they are right behind the eyes, and actually, I just heard today that sometimes they can have visible effects on the area around your eyes, so that might be why your right eye was swollen. Sounds like what you have, besides that you havn't mentioned any pain behind your eyes.
