The Decapitated is definately their best sounding album to date. it is just fucking heavy yet still crystal clear. if you like Decapitated expect the same speed and intensity on this new album as you've heard on their previous ones. and their cover of Deicide's Lunatic of God's Creation is awesome.

Speaking of Deicide, Scars of the Crucifix kicks christian ass. Glenn uses the same vocal styles as he did on Vital Remains' Dechristianize; making his lows more indiscernable and using high screams alot. He really combines them alot too, but they add a new element to the music and i like it alot. The music i feel is a little more old school style, which is always good. 2 thumbs up in my book. it also came with a behind the scenes dvd that was really cool, cause you get up close with each band member and learn a little more about them (like Glenn really did brand that cross on his forehead himself, and Steve Asheim is a fucking gun freak). i only wish the video for Scars of the Crucifix was on the dvd too, but oh well.
