as far as the whole immigrant thing, i will say that being an employee in a state run office, i see the good and bad side of immigration.

while there are (and have been in the past) so many immigrants who work hard and help out the country, there are just as many (if not more) who
1. are here illegally
2. don't speak english
3. don't work, or work under the table
4. contribute more to crime rates than anything else
5. collect welfare/free healthcare/food stamps etc.

(usually 2 or more of the above)

which is pretty fucked up when there are plenty of american born citizens, and legal immigrants who do so much and get so little in return
