Mesa and avatar cabs are awesome if you're looking to drop decent coin, but you don't even play so what's the point. With only minor searching, you shouldn't have any problem picking up two 1960 cabs on craigslist for 600 bucksish. With a little more searching, you can find those ampeg 8x10s for as low as 500 though you'd be perfectly adequate finding a 4x10 or 6x10 for cheaper. What you have in mind is pretty much standard for backline. But don't buy new, craiglist will save you tons.
