The advisors that help you get your resume out there generally give up once july hits. I got an offer from 3M on June 21st or something. That's the last minute part. The other part is that they already knew that I would have said yes to the offer without even asking which is a sign of the times (or a sign that they knew I got no's from every other company I'd applied to). I know lots of kids who just didn't get jobs this time around.
