Why do br00tal death metal bands always have ridiculously long drives on their national tours? Is it a matter of not wanting to be away from home very long or are fans of this kind of music who aren't too lazy to book shows really spread that thin?

1. strong scenes for brutal death metal in the US are few and far between. usually resulting in shitty drives to get to the next good area. i avoid the midwest like the plague, which means 4 days of driving 12 hours in a row usually.

2. the ability to coordinate more than 2 weeks off at a time for 5 people with conflicting work schedules is harder than you think. its a rarity when i can get one of my bands to all be able to go out for 3 weeks.
