LOL at all the critics thinking we put her up to this as some kind of marketing thing, we obviously did NOT as a band ask her to do these shots and say hey pose in a tree - this should be obvious to anyone who has been paying attention to this band in the last ten plus years and has seen that we've NEVER asked her or any female singers we've ever had in this band to try sell sexuality instead of the music, it's just not what we do - Laurel just happened to have done some promotional shots on her own over the past year that we thought we'd add to our site because the photography is great and the pictures are aesthetically really good; aside from there being a girl in it and yadda yadda yadda, the light in that tree shot is just amazing I thought. They're just good photos.

And for the record, my opinion is that anyone who wants to see us just because of these photos and doesn't like the music shouldn't come to our show. I just didn't think rttp was so puritan to be offended by a half shirt.

These aren't the kind of photos we ever would have gone for as a band getting promo shots, and she didn't have using them for this band in mind at all when she had them taken. Some of these photographers just did really great work and I wanted some new photos on the website before the full shoot because we hadn't updated photos on the official site for over three years, which is way too fucking long. Posting more photos of a frontperson in a band is in many cases quite common, regardless of gender. I think a couple people here need to lighten the fuck up honestly and stop demanding that the only people who deserve to be in the metal scene are fifty dudes and a pictures of a troll passed out in a van OR IT'S DESPERATE.
