Saturday my Surface Pro just shut down and never turned on again. It clearly still held a charge, because the Cover 2 still lit up when plugged into it. I've returned it and they're shipping me a new one under warranty. Service has been good on that. But just thought I'd throw it out there that apparently this is a thing that can happen.
