i can't believe you homo's havn't started this thread yet. i don't post on this board anymore, and i have to start it..

anyway, i think this just may be the best thing they've done so far. SO much thrash influence. and it's the best sounding album they've done, i guess scott hull decided to actually give a shit about how the album sounds for once. It's alot more chaotic than their other stuff at times, but there are alot more breakdowns as well, THRASHY breakdowns, not chuga bullshit.

all in all, this album rules. i've been listening to it all night.

I thought someone else started a thread like this,
but I was wrong.

I need to listen to the cd more.

toggletoggle post by tomx nli at Oct 14,2004 12:04pm
this is a really good cd, although ou ahve to listen to it a few times to get into the groove...its very different from old PD, its MUCH more metal infuenced...all in all though its great, it really heats up at track 7.

the concept disc is ok, but since its an audio dvd and not a cd, you cant play it in a regualr cd palyer, which sucks. its the kind of thing youll put in, turn off the lights and listen to it completely, with your eyes closed. and then never do it again after the frist time. it kind of creeps me out, since its called Natasha (my ex-fiance's name) and has a lot of dead-on parallels to our once relationship...

this cd destroys all to come out this year. except for the new converge.

toggletoggle post by whiskey, weed, and women at Oct 14,2004 12:29pm

toggletoggle post by blue nli at Oct 14,2004 2:01pm
what can i say, i hate you.

toggletoggle post by the_rooster  at Oct 14,2004 2:46pm
it's sick. i don't think i like it as much as "prowler...". it's less insane in my opinion. i actually really like the older productions. it fits their sound. the new one is a bit too polished for pig destroyer. it is a really good fucking album though.

toggletoggle post by litacore   at Oct 14,2004 3:05pm
I was on the verge of getting it just now.

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Oct 14,2004 3:13pm
I like it but after listening to it a handful of times I still say it's the Diamond to "Prowler's" Dimebag.

That was me. /\

toggletoggle post by whiskey, weed, and women at Oct 14,2004 3:18pm

toggletoggle post by assuck   at Oct 14,2004 4:54pm
me being the retard that i am, i forgot to conserve my funds, and i dont have the album yet.

but by the end of the week it shall be in my hands.

toggletoggle post by Blue  at Oct 14,2004 6:26pm

toggletoggle post by whiskey, weed, and women at Oct 14,2004 8:48pm

toggletoggle post by hybrid   at Oct 14,2004 10:46pm
new pig destroyer cd is awesome from what ive heard so far, i didnt even know it was out yet, i need to go get it.

toggletoggle post by BornSoVile   at Oct 14,2004 11:58pm
grind is metalcore played by punk and hardcore kids. i fucking love it but i think pig destroyer is severly over rated.

I listened to the cd 3x this morning.
it's much much creepier than the old cd.

I think this CD is aiming more back at agoraphobic nosebleed. the tracks they had available for download sucked compared to the rest of the cd.

definetly.

my favorite part about this cd is that it's really well recorded for once.
also track 14. holy fuck, what's up 80s thrash.
and then end of track towering flesh after the solo.
this cd makes me want to beat the shit out of people.

toggletoggle post by tomx nli at Oct 15,2004 1:42pm
agreed. pig destoryer ist krieg

toggletoggle post by whiskey, weed, and women at Oct 16,2004 5:09am
just got back from seeing them in NYC tonight good show, they won me over but the best part of the night is the fact that they played a dwarves cover and didnt play that much off the new album...zeke was cool too.

toggletoggle post by assuck   at Oct 16,2004 1:36pm
was it fuck you up and get high?

toggletoggle post by whiskey, weed, and women at Oct 16,2004 3:39pm

i was being sarcastic, it's all good.

i just got this today. fucking amazing. i agree whole-heartedly that there is a shitload more thrash influence, and that's a very good thing. the more thrash the better. i fucking love their artwork too. i just got done listening to natasha...i'll have to listen to it again since i've been on here at the same time, so i don't think i got the full effect.

toggletoggle post by kyledoes at Oct 16,2004 11:55pm
scott hull always has the best fucking thrash riffs...I havent heard the whole album ..but Iam very glad that the rev. said the 2 sample songs suck compared to the rest of the album..because those songs sucked dicks...of course its not gonna be as good as prowler you cannot touch that fucking album...the two sample songs sounded like they hung out with today is the day's steve austin a little bit..which def. turned me off.
cant wait to get this one.

toggletoggle post by falcone  at Oct 17,2004 12:52am
Bills definately had to wait for terrifyer...From the very fist track I was glued.J.R. Heyes's stories only get deeper.Hull's Riffs indeed are from another world .The whole album hit extra hard.I also think the production made it all that better.Everything was just crisp n clean when it had to be but complete chaos.Definately wasnt over-produced.Have'nt heard Natasha in 5.1. yet. That should be a trip.

toggletoggle post by assuck   at Oct 23,2004 1:51pm
i finnally bought this

i'm still deciding

there are some really, really bad ass songs, but theres other songs i'm still iffy on

toggletoggle post by hoser at Oct 23,2004 3:51pm
GOD DAMNED FUCKING AMAZING. AND THAT'S THAT.

toggletoggle post by soloman   at Oct 24,2004 4:35pm
awesome cd. I think the polished recording suits it veeery well. Sick stuff. Only criticism i have is that i think the distortion on the vocals is a little too high. Vocals would sound more brutal with a little less distortion. But thats it really. The album is sick.

toggletoggle post by assuck   at Oct 24,2004 4:44pm
the steve austin-esque vocals on some songs throw me off

toggletoggle post by armageddonday   at Oct 24,2004 4:46pm
I don't like Pig Destroyer but I should defenitely listen to it.
I listen to the new Nasum (like everyday). It's good but again, one more Swedish band Tragedy tainted on (a tiny bit).

toggletoggle post by assuck   at Oct 24,2004 5:14pm
listen to pig destroyer's "prowler in the yard"

its better than the new one

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Oct 24,2004 5:20pm
yep..

toggletoggle post by El Justin at Oct 24,2004 6:27pm
It's a pretty good cd

Also, check out Nasum's new cd "Shift" if you're into the new PD. I liked Nasum's new one better though.
