Even though 2004 wasn't exactly the best year in the history of our planet with more wars, more terrorist attacks and threats and then that terrible tsunami disaster in Asia, from a personal and 'business' point of view we can say that last year was again, a very good year for Reflections Records. We've put out a lot of great releases, brought a bunch of bands over to tour Europe , and most importantly, made a lot of new friends!

It also was a year where an enormous amount of time was put into the label and we almost felt burnt out at the end of 2004 but now, a few days into 2005 we're all hyped up again and very excited for what the new year will bring. We'd like to take this chance to thank Asice.net for voting us the best European Label 2004.

With our brandnew website and online-store (check it out!) we're off for a good start but there's more to come! We have a lot of exciting projects coming up which will be announced soon but here's what's new for now!

NEW RELEASES

Reaching Forward - The Final Show. DVD
Out now! This 40 minute long DVD contains Reaching Forwards last show (multi-camera angle shot), their latest recordings and more. You can order it directly through our online store. We only pressed a limited amount of this DVD and not many of these will end up in stores and/or other mailorders and once they're gone they won't be re-pressed. Get it here!

Bars - Introducing. LP
In cooperation with Equal Vision Records we're releasing Bars' debut on vinyl! Bars offered up an album that is a stripped-down, sonic onslaught. The debut album is laden with a pissed-off rock n' roll swagger that is as pummeling as it is catchy. Regardless of perspective or expectations, Bars make rock n' roll, and make it explode! The Suicide File - Some Mistakes You'll Never Stop Paying For. LP
In cooperation with Indecision Records, we're very happy to announce we're gonna do the vinyl for the last Suicide File record. This discography contains all their songs from their first 7", split 7"es, compilations and more (most sold out or impossible to find!). The Suicide File has, since their astonishing debut, always been one of our favorite bands and we're absolutely stoked to be able to be involved in the bands legacy. Panic - Demo 2001. 7"
Panic is confirmed to play a one-off exclusive reunion show at the Arnhem Hardcore Meeting March 26, 2005 (more info underneath). As some sort of celebration Reflections will release Panic's first recordings on a one-sided 7". This will be a one-time pressing of 500 copies and it will be sold at the festival. Any remaining copies (if there are gonna be any.) will be available through our online-store. We however doubt if that will happen. Better be safe than sorry though, so come to the fest! Releasedate: March 26

Daughters / The Chinese Stars - Split
The motherfuckers from Daughters return! The sexual intimidation ain't over just yet and we're very proud to announce this special split release with their friends from The Chinese Stars. For us, at Reflections, this is again one of those special releases we're very thrilled about. Two bands, totally different in approach and style of music combined on one release.. Both bands will deliver 2 brandnew songs each. The Chinese Stars will be touring Australia with The Blood Brothers February into March and will be coming over to Europe in April. Releasedate: April 5

Razor Crusade - New 7"
Razor Crusade will not only play their asses off in 2005, but will also release a new record before they're gonna concentrate on their somophore album. The band will enter the studio sometime this spring to record two new songs and a very special coversong. Be on the lookout! This will most likely be a limited release in crazy packaging! On another note: their debut full length 'Infinite Water' which just has been released for the North American territory by our good friends from Deathwish Inc was selected as one of the 30 best albums from 2004 according to U.K.'s Big Cheese Magazine.

OTHER NEWS...

Face Tomorrow helps Asia !
Face Tomorrow decided to start some ebay auctions to help out the people of Asia that got struck by the terrible Tsunami December 25. All proceeds of these auctions will go directly to giro 555, a Dutch fund for the Helporganisations who do a great job in Asia . There's very little we can do sitting safely behind our computers when there's a disaster this big, but all efforts count up. This has about 3 days to go so check their eBay object and bid hard!

Reflections Records co-organizes Arnhem Hardcore Meeting March 26
After a succesful first hardcore-festival in the spring of 2004, which was part of the 20th anniversary of the legendary Goudvishal, we teamed up again and decided to go for a second edition. Confirmed bands: Converge, Planes Mistaken For Stars, Eighteen Visions, Hopesfall, Razor Crusade, Panic (exclusive reunion show!), Good Clean Fun (their only European show in 2005), Sex Positions, No Turning Back, Strike First . More bands will be confirmed in the next couple of days, so stay tuned. The festival, which takes place on Saturday the 26th of March at the Musis Sacrum in Arnhem (which was also the home of our first edition), will feature 15 bands, 2 stages. A special website for the festival www.arnhemhardcoremeeting.nl will be launched January 21. In the meantime also check the venue's website www.goudvishal.nl.

Razor Crusade European Tour
The unstoppable machine that they are not taking any time off and have their next crusade in Europe laid out! Check the toursection for all the dates!

Face Tomorrow European Tour
Working hard to break the record of "band that plays the most live show in a year" Face Tomorrow keeps that tourvan riding. They basically play everyhwere. Check the toursection for all their upcoming shows!

Then in other news.. February 3, the band will play Nighttown in hometown Rotterdam. Doors open at 20:00 and there will be two surprise acts. The entire show will be recorded and will appear on a DVD which we'll release in May 2005. So make sure you're there and smile when you're on camera ;) Presale has started and you can buy tickets in their brand new Webstore.

Modern Life Is War / Malkovich European Tour
Being the succesful match they were last year, we figured it would be cool to not to split up these partners in crime! We're very excited to announce a short European tour for both bands. From April 21 'till May 1 both bands will rock your socks off and party like there's no tomorrow.

Converge European Tour
Converge will come over to Europe in support of their unbelievable new album "You Fail Me" on Epitaph/Deathwish Inc. from March 10 until April 10. Planes Mistaken For Stars (who just released an amazing new album on No Idea!) will come over as their support. Check the toursection for all the dates

Terror European Tour
Another band that has only one mission in their existence: Keep the moshpits moving! They have a European tour lined up as support for Agnostic Front. Check the toursection for all the dates

Black Cross / Breather Resist European Tour
Having brothers in both bands, Black Cross and Breather Resist macth up to play shows all over Europe together. Make sure to check these bands out. If you haven't already, pick up Black Cross' Widows Bloody Widows and Breather Resist's Charmer! Check the toursection for the first dates.
