of those 9 april 2nd shows, one is a nu metal show, one is a bay state rock show, one is all ages for the kids, one is in maine, three are hardcore shows, and then there's the boe show and the heavy rotation show. i don't think there will be much of a problem getting a good turnout at each show.

problem is, there are just too many bands around. every band wants shows on the weekend. every music fan wants shows to go to on the weekend. too many bands and not enough weekends. if it was up to me, all the shitty bands would disappear and the good bands would get all the shows, but who am i to decide what is good and what isn't? it does get frustrating, but in the end, i'm still happy to play a show, regardless of the turnout. i get what you are saying though. it sucks to book a show and then have a million other shows pop up that day.

99% of the time I'm not torn between 2 shows on the same night. I usually want to go to one show, and if that show didn't exist I most likely wouldn't go to any other. The only time I've been torn between 2 different shows anytime recently was the skinless/malignancy night. Jim did you even go to the skinless show? I didn't see you at the malig. show.

ya wanna know why the scene sucks cause were booking on top of each other and spreading the scene thin i got a lotta shit from people here for booking a show when ther was another show someone else booked but wtf 7 more shows on the same day i may as well cancle this thing (i'm not going to of course but it re assures me to never book a show again)

i will remember that next time i book somthing not to book you guys again thanks for the lack of support.

honestly i expected nuthing of the sort however it was an attempt to get metal booked on a better night in this club and prove to the owner that this kind of music can bring in people, seeing he wanted it to be a thursday and we couldn't do it so he gave me a saturday. the show needs to do well to prove that it was a good idea having this style of music and not lame alternitive and that sort of crap that he usually books.

there have been countless threads regaurding this topic of booking the same day and that it hurts the scene cause of too many shows on the same day hell i am guilty of doing too, when i booked the show i had you guys on at the compound a while back if you remember (altho i doubt you have the capasity to remember that far back i am sure) alternate reality no i just want to see the local metal scene get better and have better places to play at.

Yeah, I do remember the show you hooked us up with, and I appreciated it, and thanked you. So that is grounds not to say wow shit wow about you thinking no one would book a show on the same night as you?

Ahhh, i am the first to review.
Down to 3 bands we started the show a little later. Sin of angles went on and tore it up, and didnt blow any fuses. Next up was Bane of Exsistance, they played a few new songs, Jim showcased my old whore (i can deal seeing her with him, im sooo over her...*inside joke* )
Next up was Anoxia, it was finally cool to get a 40 minute set for once. I think we played pretty good. We played the teratism cd before we went on, and got all pumped up. Blah blah blaha. The turnout was really low.
Dwyer did pretty good, cd sales wise. The sound man @ K.C's was a really cool dude. I ended up staying way to late standing around talking about recording shit and microphones with him. All in all(besides the monsoon rain fall @1:15am) i had a good time.

the show went pretty well turnout coulda been better as always but we still all got paid and that was cool

anoxia were amazing as always

sin of angels were pummiling heavy and a very cool band i am glad i got to see em
