suspension of graces: they sounded pretty sick. all their new stuff is alot more melodic with much sparcer breakdowns.

screams of erida: people started moshing around. they sounded really good too. alcohol fueled fun.

hand choke neck: the new singer is really good. less silly than chris... though the lows aren't as low are chris's, but he's got a better all over range.. like goratory meets aborted. oh, the singer used to be the slow decay of time.

I had a great time tonight. I need to get an idea so I can start drinking at these shows haha... I'm kind of scared of how much more retarded I would act though, I'm already kind of pushing the limit. Thanks to everyone that came and played. SoE and HCN, you guys were amazing, and it was a privelege to play a show with you. Thanks for the support, I for one left the show feeling very satisfied with my night... but that might be because I was sporting my new RTTP hoodie. Yesss.

My review:

Suspension of Graces: Talented as all hell. It was nice to hear some good old 2 part guitar harmonies. These guys tore it up. Singer has a killer voice. I want to thank them for driving all the way up here for this. Great bunch of guys.

Screams of Erida: After seeing them ACTUALLY fit on the stage, which was a feat in itself for a 6 piece band. Aside from that, they kicked ass. A killer Metalcore band if you haven't seen them. Sick tight set. AND Stephanie (their kick ass bass player) is one of the nicest people I have met to date.

Hand Choke Neck: Undeniably the best fucking band in Metal. I would travel anywhere at any time to see these guys. Un-fucking real.....


KILLER SHOW. I heard that HCN will be back there on April 18th!!!

Hey guys, this is Nate from SoG (I'm the big guitarist with the sleeveless shirt)

We all had an absolute blast last night. That was easily one of the best shows we've played, so I really want to thank the guys who got us on the bill, not to mention, The Rev for suggesting us in the first place!

That was the first time any of us had heard either HCN or SOE, but you both blew us away. Amazing sets!!

Been a while since I 've been able to get out to a show, but it was insane.

My reviews...

Suspension of Graces: First time I've ever seen or heard of this band. Seems like they had a hard time getting tight at first but I attribute that to the sound board nazi refusing to give the drummer a monitor. After the first song, tight as hell. Great sound, excellent set, I'll definately be keeping an eye out for these guys.

Screams of Erida: I've seen these guys (and Steph) about 10 times now, and they're definately my favorite NE based metal band. Have not seen them in about 4 months, but they've gotten TIGHT! Insane set, mini-pit (in Dover NH, that's an accomplishment) and Lee was an animal. Again, down with the sound board nazi!

Hand Choke Neck: Since I've never seen these guys, I can't rate how much better the new singer is, but I've seen SDOT before and think I remember him. Great set! I'm a new fan!

We need more metal on the NH Seacoast.

I told him to check out pictures on this site and he posted the stupid comment about screams of erida. He decided to tell me this today after realizing that he pissed people off. I enjoy screams of erida. They are tight musicians and nice guys. My band, irepress might ask them to play our CD release sometime in May as well.
