might as well go along with all the other threads...

I use to crank Broken Hope's "Bowel Of Repugnance" and "Swamped In Gore" all the time, I loved Joe Ptacek vocals and would grunt along to it while listening. Frank Rini from Internal Bleeding was nasty as hell. David Vincent was awesome back in the day. "Clandestine"-era Entombed inspired me a ton as well to grunt and growl along. And then I heard the low shit Bill Steer was doing in Carcass and that did me in....

Yeah, my big inspiration was when I slammed a door closed on my fingers when I was 7. Helluva scream.

Stevo - Impetigo

Bill/Jeff - Carcass

I always thought they were the most killer vocalists ,they got me into what I listen to today

toggletoggle post by dunwich nli at Aug 10,2005 6:21pm
Not that I sound much like them, but Dead, Quothorn and Pete Helmkamp influenced me.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Aug 10,2005 6:31pm
chuck schuldiner, david vincent, tom jones, king diamond, steven tyler, james hetfield, dave mustaine.

Max Cavelera - Sepultura,

Jack Kelley (Choke) - stars & stripes/Slapshot,

Frank Black - The Pixies,

Maynard James Keenan - Tool (only up til aenema. I think that his singing on Laeteralus and Perfect Circle are utter shit),

Ani Difranco - Moreso lyrically than vocally, although I still like her vocals.,

Jon Oliva - Savatage,

Lou Koller (sic?) - Sick of It All,

King Diamond - Mercyful Fate and early solo stuff,

Mike Patton

Bjork

Thom Yorke

That Irish Fag that sang in the original broadway Phantom of the Opera, Michael something I think?
