toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Nov 29,2005 12:38pm
i was going to be there, but i have to record vocals for a project at AI at 1am. going from new bedford to burlington for band practice on thursday, then back to new bedford for this show on friday, then to brookline to record, then back to new bedford just isn't going to happen. i hope the show is fun for everyone playing and going.

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Nov 29,2005 5:21pm

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Nov 29,2005 8:30pm

toggletoggle post by anon-nona at Nov 29,2005 10:17pm
Does The Bullpen have their own website? How often do they have metal nights?

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Nov 30,2005 5:39pm

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Nov 30,2005 5:59pm

Actually this will be the 2nd death show @ the bullpen. We played there like 5 years ago w/Icor & Convulsion Sickness.

Reflections, we played there, that place was pretty gay, some non drug/boose center for young kids. They wouldnt let me bring in a bottle of water, those people where fucking stupid.

toggletoggle post by handinjury at Nov 30,2005 6:06pm
Anonymous was me.

People should come out to this show, so the bullpen will have more metal shows.

toggletoggle post by BornSoVile   at Nov 30,2005 6:07pm
my tattoo artist, andrew pequita's parents used to own this bar, he said he tried to get shows there forever when his ran it but they wouldn't let him or whatever, sounds like a cool place.

It did. I remember seeing bands like Beyond the Embrace, Beyond the Sixth Seal and Incinerate. The scene used to rock down here, but now that its all 21+, popularity and interest is dead. We need Reflections to come back in full force.

Oh man, I had so much fun tonight!

Blighted Touch- We came in a song or two into their set, they sounded great, a lot more clear than the last time I saw them. Great to see Jon, he's awesome. Chatted with some of the other guys, good dudes.

Goreality- I saw these guys at the New Wave not too long ago and I was kind of sick and didn't get to pay as much attention to them as I'd have liked, tonight they had my full attention and they were siiiiick. Old school DM...what can be wrong with that? Dan kills, end of story. They were tight and kept my head banging. Fishcakes is one cool motherfucker too!

Porphyria- Stole the goddamn show. This was the band I came to see. I saw Porphyria a while ago in NH and I remembered them being awesome but they blew me away tonight. Turns out Blue is their new guitar player, he joined them onstage on their third song (I believe) and did a great job. Before he came on, I was pretty impressed with Tom's playing because he filled out the sound so well, which normally bands with only one guitar can't quite pull off as well. Their bass and drum players did more than their share holdin it down, too. I love Porphyria's singer, he's a blast to watch and has the kind of stage presence I hope to pull off one of these days. The whole band were so into it, you couldn't really help but be into it as well. I can't wait to play with these guys!

Anoxia- It had been a WHILE since I seen these guys. Old school DM to the bone. I was pretty pissed so many people had left before they played because they really missed a killer set. Dan is just ridiculous, his vox are something else. I was impressed in his ability to play a double set and barely break a sweat. A perfect end to a brutal night

Good to see everyone, hopefully I'll get to play this bar...the place was awesome. As the vokiller for Porphyria said, the metal scene is not fuckin dead, that was a barfull of people that lived for metal and I think the whole show was outstanding. I haven't had that much fun at a local show in ages.

Now I need to pass out cause the pabst is catching up with me...

toggletoggle post by anonymous Bus at Dec 3,2005 3:55pm
Roughly, how many people showed up to see the show?

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Dec 3,2005 4:14pm
sounds like an awesome show. sorry i missed it. i was ruining my voice in the recording studio trying to cover holy diver.

toggletoggle post by Philonymous at Dec 3,2005 4:27pm
im a fucking queer, I was so stoked on this show for so long and was taking a nap, yea fuck you I still need naps haha, and i told me neice to wake me up at like 845 and I ended up waking up at 230!!!

fucking gay! she said she tried to wake me up but apparently I was in a heavy sleep so its not her fault, its mine for not sleeping at night

me=

this is more of a reason for me to make it out to the grafton show

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Dec 3,2005 4:37pm
i know how you feel man. i slept through the powerglove show today. i needed the sleep pretty bad.

toggletoggle post by |an at Dec 3,2005 5:21pm
haha that was fucking awesome show....... good seeing some familiar faces from elsewhere trek down to new bedford, good job to all bands that played - either everything was good or i was real drunk or both

toggletoggle post by pam nli at Dec 4,2005 2:41am

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Dec 4,2005 2:52am

toggletoggle post by pam nli at Dec 4,2005 2:55am

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Dec 4,2005 2:59am

toggletoggle post by pam   at Dec 4,2005 3:00am

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Dec 4,2005 3:03am
