finished the submix yesterday at Machines With Magnets
check out one of the 3 we did for an upcoming huge split with at least HBBSI, The Departed, and A Terrible Night for a Curse

http://www.myspace.com/dourcursiva

remember this is only a pre-mix and unmastered

we're getting it mastered at West West Side by Alan Douches (much better value than M-Works for anyone looking into mastering)

fuckin right
OGH
sounds really good man
cant wait to hear the mastered
how much is the mastering? we wanna get our shite mastered

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Dec 3,2005 2:45pm
it's $125/hr. in an hour they handle about 10 minutes of music. so our stuff is about 15:02 in length so $125*1.502=187.75 with an additional mixing process at MwM it could run us up to 250, maybe 300. but probably not that high. no shipping since we send an .aiff file.

toggletoggle post by Sacreligion at Dec 4,2005 7:45pm
sounds good...it sounds kinda empty but that's what rough mixes are...mastering will thicken the hell out of everything

toggletoggle post by thedeparted   at Dec 4,2005 7:46pm
how are your recordings coming sac?
when are they gonna be up?

toggletoggle post by mark fucking richards at Dec 4,2005 7:47pm
haha, "old glory hole"...my new band has a song called "glory hole casserole"

toggletoggle post by thedeparted   at Dec 4,2005 7:48pm
ha

toggletoggle post by Sacreligion at Dec 4,2005 7:54pm
they should've been done today...we were gonna go into the studio and friday and do some final musical/mixing touch ups...but brendan from stonecutter came down with some form of the bubonic plague...so we just called the mastering off until we get those things done...now we're shooting for next week

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Dec 4,2005 8:27pm
even mastered it's not going to sound totally "studio-ed"...we used minimal effects because we wanted it to be raw...which is what MwM is all about

toggletoggle post by thedeparted   at Dec 4,2005 11:24pm
indeed
ill bump this mother just for being 11:25pm on a sunday

Hey Brian, good stuff. I love the riffs.

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Dec 5,2005 4:24am
thank you

toggletoggle post by pam   at Dec 5,2005 4:26am
you're welcome. I just listened again, what exactly does the high scream stab his throat with to so resemble the sound of a trainwreck. I love it.

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Dec 5,2005 4:29am
gull cries...it comes out sounding like a high inhale...but he's a talented kid, he closes up his throat and mouth and pushes up as much air from his diaphram as he can.

he was actually disappointed because they sound way better live...I guess his throat was dry on friday

toggletoggle post by TheAccursedDrummer  at Dec 5,2005 4:31am
Is it ,or do the low vocals really sound a lot like Sean from Coalesce? That's what I'm reminded of anyway. Good to hear someone like that since they've packed it in.

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Dec 5,2005 4:34am
having two vocalists has been a real treat for us, especially live being able to have the complex overlaps many people record and can never do.

I thought the vocalist of Coalesce was in The Esoteric now...but nope, just checked...there are ex-Coalesce in that band though.

toggletoggle post by pam   at Dec 5,2005 4:38am
I dig dual vocals, so does drummer up there...so we use em! We blast impaled a lot and get mutual boners for their vocal action.

toggletoggle post by thedeparted   at Dec 5,2005 6:56am
BUMP!

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Dec 5,2005 6:47pm

toggletoggle post by Craig beat God in arm wrestling at Dec 6,2005 4:41pm
brian, why the gay doesnt the song come up on purevolume? im getting very aggravated

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Dec 6,2005 5:18pm
patience Craig...purevolume is notoriously slow

toggletoggle post by Beakey   at Dec 6,2005 5:19pm
Pure Volume sucks big fat monkey cock.
It's one of the slowest sites of all time.
And is it just me or does an "unexpected error" occur everytime you try to do anything on MySpace?

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Dec 6,2005 5:21pm
the only way to stream most songs on purevolume is to start to play it...pause it immediately and wait for the whole song to load

toggletoggle post by Beakey   at Dec 6,2005 5:22pm
Yeah, I learned that little trick back in Nam.

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Dec 6,2005 5:25pm
that and how to solder an eyeball closed by knocking out Charlie, placing a frag in his eye and heating it up with a flare.

it may not kill him, but he gets the point.

toggletoggle post by Beakey   at Dec 6,2005 5:26pm
Charlie who?
Charlie McDonough?
How do you know HIM?
Are you from West Quincy too?

toggletoggle post by dyingmuse   at Dec 6,2005 5:39pm
wow cool stuff!

\m/

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Dec 8,2005 11:09pm
