Just picked up a new MH300 last night from Jake (Hoser) Who by the way was an awsome dude but unfortunately I couldn't stick around long enough to catch his set.
It's in awsome shape, even the factory inspection sticker was still on it. It had the original EMG HZ H! pair switch out and Jake put an 81 in it, but he took the 81 out and put an HZ H4 in the bridge. My only complaint is the controll layout (the tone pot controlls volume and the volume pot apears to be a pickup selector or tone knob, but the selector switch is disconected) but I'll have it redone in 10 minutes and she'll be good to go.
anywho, here are the pictures:
The MH1000 doesn't look similar enough to make it into the shots and the MH250 isn't here yet 8) I'm a horizon homo.
I don't have the cover plate for the rear floyd cavity yet, hopefully Jake can send it to me in an envelope or something. I also don't have an arm for the tremolo but if he doesn't have one it's no big deal because I'll probably never use it.
in the past six months I've bought 5 ESPs (all Horizons) and sold 3 ESP B series basses to buy a higher end ESP B405 wich I can hopefully order next month.
Got rid of all my jacksons, got rid of my BCrichs, got rid of my warwicks, and got rid of my spector.... ESP is definately the only guitar company I will be doing buisiness with until they drop quality or I find someone better.
Yup. I like US soliosts ALOT but no where near as much as custom shop ESP Horizons.
When I was first becoming a serrius bass player and wanted to upgrade to an actual bass, I almost got a US Jackson used from GC but I got a warwick corvette instead. Ended up getting sick of the Corvette's long scale and thick neck and now I have an ESP bass on order (been backordered forever).
