Yea, nothing sucks worse than a free outdoor show where you can pitch a tent (in more ways than one ha) do whatever you want. Meet new people, weave some webs in the underground, listen to live music, drink yourself stupid and not worry about driving home and get bagged for a DWI. Yea, that sucks! I think this fest is an excellent idea, and there is no reason why it won't be awesome. Drinking outdoors is fun, playing metal is fun, so I can't see why this overall event won't be as well

KoK, HCN were great! We're just givin' some other folks a stab @ it this year. I'm actually(and I'm sure alot of people are)getting pretty sick of seeing Senseless Mutilation and Breather on the bill (lol!) but, the rest of the blokes can't see themselves sitting on the side lines watching everyone have a good time up on that stage. Me personally, I'd rather just nurse a bottle of Beam and hit on girls with no hair on their cookie.
Shit, Life At Zero had a really great run. 3 fuckin' years! They seriously helped make this fest the shit! Those guys are awsome! We'll see how everything goes for next year. It'd be cool to see HCN and L@Z back aswell as some others.

THE REASON FOR SOME OF THE LIGHTER BANDS IS BALANCE, BELIEVE IT OR NOT, NOT EVERYONE WANTS TO LISTEN TO GRIND CORE BANDS OVER AND OVER. JUST BREAKING IT UP A BIT. IF EVERYTHING WAS THE SAME THERE WOULDN'T BE ALL THAT MUCH CHAOS IN IT. THEN WE WOULD HAVE TO CALL IT COOS DEATH METAL FEST.

The two years that Leukorrhea did it, I had some of the best times in my life. Coos County is absolute madness all night long. Passed out people that pissed themselves, people walking around without pants, waking up to people still friggin drinking at 7 am... wish I wasn't in NC right now and could make this years. Troll tell Doug I said what's up and I lost my phone when we moved so I don't have his number anymore.

I was almost going to give Breather some credit, but then I got inspired to look 'em up on Myspace. And I don't know how I'm going to get all that gay out of my ears now that I sat through half of one of their songs. Surprises the hell out of me that any good bands ended up on a show put on by them.

Did you stick around to see the fog roll into the field? It was great..I felt like I had just done battle all night so I did a victory march around the field. When you've come to the end of a weekend long bender with no sleep it just has this strange ethereal feeling to it..Last thing I remember was talking to Paul of CNV and then he left and I went into a coma for two hours and started drinking red eyes before cleaning the grounds. Which wasn't really that littered but man was there some puke piles! If I didn't have such a bad case of wet brain I would have took pictures of em' all. One pile looked like somebody's small intestine. It was Fulci gruesome. I did take a picture of one tasty pile on top of a womans sandal. Oh which brings up the subject of the Fest pictures! I'll try and get those up on the net ASAP and put the link on here and the Fest website. I think I took over 400 pics! (Sorry guys no tits....At least on my camera.)

ok, so I am only going to comment on the bands that I really enjoyed , cause, no offence, but there were a lot of bands there that were more rock n roll or hard core that i can handle in one night (not to say they suck, just really not my thing) but, they all did rock out pretty hard and played well

Blood Obsesion- they were some heavy assed old school death metal with some cool harmonies. they had a sick guitar sound. The bassist was awesome and the singer was sick! I dug em!

Hekseri-this was my first time seeing them live, and I had been wanting to see them for a while now! Seth is an animal! sick drumming as usual, and the 3 way vocals kicked my ass! cool solos and harmonies. I finally met the whole bad too. all very cool peeps!

CNV- aside from the technical dificulties, they were grim as hell, and I have always dug there music on cd, live is just as good, except for the energy bar being a bit more awesome! pauly is the man, and i respect anything he does musically! you guys rocked; though, I wish you had more time to play!

Warblade- Wow, they had some crazy harmonies going there, and the chops to do it well! the singer had a sick voice, I wish the guitarist on the left had turned up a bit, because he was way low. they had a newe drummer i guess, he's damn good! Bad assed music! We will be doing some gigs with them soon!

Shroud- yeah we played at like 4am that was rough, I was half asleep and eaten alive, ohh and half in the bag! lol thanks to troll and all that put this awesome time together! wish I got more than 3 words outta Chug though, he was all buisy and shit, didn't even drink one beer with me, fag! lol

I forgot about that guy that got all fucked up during hekseri. Serge tried to stop the guy's brother( who was just trying to find out who hit his brother) and the guy tried to swing at Serge, so my boy Miller jumped in and was about to dislodge his head, so then I stepped in....holy shit that coulda went south! Thankfully, It was all a misunderstanding, and the guy I guess tripped and fell into an amp or something. We all had beers after, and they were all cool guys, and I think they were the ones that put the sound/show together! Cheers to a well put on event!

I like Miller (always forget his name) and I'm glad he didn't wreck Bad Luck Chuck's brother cause the dude is BIG! Yes he probably would have dislodge his head with the spine still attached! *lol*
