I love this kid. He has a real knack for good, quality music such as stuck mojo and machine head. Totally open minded to other forms of metal, especially when cheese rap is infused. It takes a real musically adept individual to really understand the sheer brilliance of Stuck Mojo.

i must admit, i enjoyed burn my eyes and the more things change, way back when they came out and i was like 14 years old. i wouldn't call those albums completely nu-metal, but they definitely influenced the insurgence of nu-metal bands heavily.

everything after those 2 albums do in fact suck balls. like one person said, they are trend-hoppers. how do you go from doing your own thing, to commercial "metal," then to fucking rapcore, then try to come back as a "real" metal band when in flames, killswitch engage and unearth started getting huge. now they're trying to make thrash, just like a slew of other shitty bands are doing to try saving themselves, trivium included. we'll see how long this phase of machinehead lasts. maybe the next album will sound like necrophagist, despised icon, the faceless and job for a cowboy.

For better or worse, Machine Head haven't really done anything worth discussing. Thier albums sound tired, they rely only on groove to get anywhere in a song, and it gets old really really fast. It's not quite Nu-Metal, certainly not Thrash, or Crossover, and it's not important. It's just a bunch of wiggers chugging away and I'd be surprised if anyone gives two shits about them anymore.

Okay. Trendhoppers I can agree on. But, the fact still remains that Machine Head fuckin kicks ass live. In my opinion, that is all that matters.

they bored the hell out of me when they played metalfest a few years ago. they took longer to set up than they actually played, literally. i don't see why such simple music needed so much elaborate set up time. i expected their set to be fucking amazing, with hot dog cannons and dancing midgets with that much set up time. but nope. they just played everything miserably and i felt like shooting myself.
