FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Underground phenomena UNEARTH sign to Metal Blade Records Inc.!
Metal Blade Records is proud to welcome Massachusetts's UNEARTH to its
roster. Making waves in the hardcore scene since the release of their
first
EP Above The Fall of Man in 1999, and solidifying their place as the
band to
watch with the 2001 Eulogy Recordings release The Stings Of Conscience,
UNEARTH has developed into an unstoppable force. Melding aggressive
riffs,
breakdowns and melody with unparalleled intensity and musicianship,
UNEARTH
will be one the few bands in the metal/hardcore community to make the
leap
into the mainstream while retaining their street cred. The band will
embark
on MTV's Headbangers Ball Tour starting in Montreal Canada on 10/28/03
with
Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage, and Shadows Fall where the band will
show
all the fans what is sure to be one of the most extraordinary live
shows
they will ever see!

"We are extremely excited and honored to be able to work with Unearth.
They
are one of the leading bands of the new generation and we can't wait to
get
started helping them achieve success."
-Brian Slagel Owner/CEO Metal Blade Records

"The guys couldn't be happier about signing to Metal Blade. The entire
staff
at MB, especially President Mike Faley and Owner Brian Slagel, have
made it
clear to us that we will get a major push and never be asked to
compromise
our artistic freedom. Signing this deal will allow us to continue with
our
vision of bringing real music back to the forefront while sticking with
a
grass roots label that has done nothing but stand behind heavy music
for
over 20 years.

We also want to welcome a new member into the fold. Mike Justain, of
The Red
Chord fame, will take on drumming duties for us shortly after the
Headbangers Ball tour. With our original drummer, Mike Rudberg, leaving
months ago for personal reasons, Justain seems to be the perfect fit
for our
style and personality. No worries though, Justain will remain with The
Red
Chord. We are huge fans of the band and would hate to see them disband.

We want to thank Eulogy Recordings for being a great home for us for
the
past three years. We will always work with Eulogy with our past
releases and
at least one more future project.

As for now, thanks to the fans and everyone who has supported us. Our
next
full length will be out on Metal Blade sometime next spring. It will be
by
far the heaviest and best thing we have ever done."
-UNEARTH

"I am extremely excited about Unearth's signing to Metal Blade. When it
comes to "true" metal, Metal Blade's has both the history of years
past, and
the vision moving forward that Unearth is proud to be a part of. The
label's
enthusiasm for the band is undeniable and the feeling is mutual. We are
looking forward to the future with Metal Blade."
- Paul Conroy Entertainment Services (UNEARTH manager)

DISILLUSION news...
Germanys most talented newcomer band DISILLUSION is still in the studio
working on its Metal Blade debut Back To Times Of Splendor! The band is
about to finish the recordings in about two weeks and puts the
finishing
touches on the vocal tracks.

Believe it or not, but the band worked for five months on the
recordings and
is very pleased about the process of it. "We take our time as we want
to
deliver an album that fulfils our own, very high expectations", says
guitar
player Rajk. "We are hard to please ourselves and always try to develop
and
progress our music. Actually, we are really psyched about the new songs
and
I am very confident that the fans will love the stuff as well!"

More info on the six songs (total playing time: 55 minutes!!!) will
follow
in a couple of weeks!

DISILLUSION will mix the album early November in the Tam Recording
Studios
in Zwickau, Germany before they master the album mid-November in the
Mastersound Studios in Fellbach, Germany together with Atrocity-main
man
Alex Krull

DISILLUSION forced to cancel live shows:
Unfortunately, DISILLUSION has to cancel the three live shows for this
week.
Guitar player Rajk has a serious hand injury and is not allowed to play
his
guitar for a few weeks. Please publish the news on your websites
immediately. Thank you!

upcoming

and
most powerful work ever. Forget about everything you've ever heard
before
... these new songs are so fuckin´ heavy! It's a blast and every single
note
and line comes straight from our young and modern metal hearts!"

There's nothing left to say...except for: it maybe even stronger!

"Twice Second" will be released on the 12th of January 2004 on Metal
Blade

ANCIENT
The band has now nearly completed the songs for the new album.
Recordings
will take place in January, and mixing/mastering in early February. The
album will contain 10 new tracks, 3 written by Jesus Christ! and the
remaining 7 by Aphazel, Dhilorz & Grom.
A video to promote the album will be shot in London in February. The
new
album (title will soon be announced) will show a somewhat new musical
direction for the band, although with a good amount of the typical
Ancient
sound as always. The band has been focusing more on dynamics and power
this
time, in order to make the album very catchy and interesting. As usual
the
songs are all rather diverse, resulting in an album to not be bored of
easily. Ancient also wish to send out a big thanks and hail to all the
fans
who attended the gig in Tel Aviv, Israel, last weekend, as well as the
organizers who did a great job. Photos will be up on the site soon.
