"On a Mac, if you lose a file, you run to the store to get a copy of the Mac version of Norton Utillities and run back only to have Norton go 'YOU IDIOT! YOU OWN A MACINTOSH! THE FILE IS FUCKING GONE!'"
funny video, but if you know mac, he's bitching about things from both OS9 and OSX. |
yeah....
hey i got this program called boomerang and it found all the files but it requires an activation key to actually get the files.
and i cannot find the activation key anywhere. |

haha editing in OS9 really did cause me a decent amount of aggrivation, but it was due mostly in part to my school not properly equipping the computers for editing. My experiences in OSX though have been phenomenal, which I can't say for any of the multiple Windows XP systems I operate on a daily basis at work. |
I have no issues with OSX at all, in fact, since using one (which I'm on now) I'd like to own a Mac. I always found that video hilarious though.
personally, for some reason, I still prefer Photoshop on PC, but any other bitmap/vector editors, I'll take on a Mac hands down. Programming I prefer on a PC (partly due to the stock Mac-in-trash keyboards). Gaming: PC hands down. 3D modeling and rendering I can use both PC & Mac well, but since I'm a 3dsmax guy, I do the VAST majority of my modeling/rendering on a PC.
so, when I weigh all my options I really should have both a PC and a Mac at home.
I've never used a Mac for recording, but I've been told by everyone that it's a much better experience then using a PC (which I don't mind doing at all) |
macs are easy to use for recording...
i do it all the time.
i lost all of my recorded tracks so i'm gonna have to re-record them.
kinda sucks cause they were actually good for a change i just had to master them.
good thing i'm not in a real band or i'd be in trouble |
i got nothing... how much does it cost
like 170 or someshit.
thanks anyway dude. |
hey, I may have a working copy of boomerang, hang on a few, lemme see if it DL's... |
I'll let it hang, I've got 2 peers, but no seeds yet |
another question
i have some .avi files on this computer and the sound doesn't work on them but the video part of it works fine. i have used quicktime and div x for players with the same result. does anyone else encounter this problem?
it is only on some of the avi files and when i watch them on my windows machine it works fine. |
find the windows media plugin for quicktime, that may help |
i actually have that one installed in quicktime. |

alright thanks
but hey you don't need to do that if you don't want to cause i found my college stuff backed up on another computer and the music isn't really that important. |
eh either - or, it wouldn't be a bad application to have here in the office either, lol |
