I had a great conversation with this guy who looked like Stuart Smalley and talked like the creepy gay guy from Family Guy the other day. I was about to sit down and I dropped a quarter. This guy I was about to sit next to picked it up, and went to hand it to me.

Don't mind this thread. I'm in the middle of editing a pair of videos in Russian (one about putting on a condom, and one about disposing of needles) and I'm just trying to take a break from it for a minute.

those videos need to be combined

Where do you work? Do you use FCP? Hireing? I want to edit video. I was a multimedia minor...

I work for a medical school. I'm editing on Adobe Premiere Pro. I'm pretty happy with it.

and yes, needle dick videos would spice this project up.

So the needle video is entirely in Russian with Russian titles, voiceover and everything.

My boss taped the VO last week, and left me the VO, some raw footage, and scripts in English, and Russian before he left for vacation. I goto put this video together, listen to the VO and realize that there are like a dozen sections on the script.... but the guy only pauses like 3 times when he reads it. I don't speak Russian so I have no idea where one part ends or another begins.

I call up the people we're making the video for and tell them I need someone who speaks Russian to listen to this voiceover with me. They just called me back and told me that they have 3 guys who speak Russian, 2 of them went back to Russia, and the last one can't make it until next week which is when they want the video by.

what the hell.

Doggonit, people like me.

I wouldn't really worry about the VO being in proper order or whatever. Unless these videos were about what line to stand in to get a bread ration, or where to find a store that sells both Diadora sweatsuits and gold chains Russians won't even pay attention.
