New site? Maybe some day.

holy shit... i've been trying figure out where i heard that before.
RIP Quorthon |
wouldn't surprise me if they dig on Bathory
Quorthon is like Zelig
the man. RIP |
Sounds similar but not quite the same - not enough to be a rip off.
I doubt if anyone in the Dropkick Murphys listens to Bathory anyway. |
i remember when i was like 12 listening to these guys... and all the guys who listen to them now cuz of that red sox stuff would poke fun at my musical taste.
pfffffft, fuck if I know
The Departed was a cool movie, nothing tops Goodfellas yet though |

I hear that man. I got every 7" I could find afterwards. You wonder if they would have even had the balls to be so Celtic if Big Bad Bollocks wasn't around then. |

maybe Bathory have a hard on for American socialist folk singers, who more than likely "stole" the melody from a much older traditional folk song.
face it nothing is original. |
The lyrics, at least - it was just another unfinished Woody Guthrie fragment that they grafted onto some more of their generic bullshit music to swipe some credibility.

Yeah, not a chance. BBB was superior in every way; I think we can agree that this is self-evident.
Oh, and - in case my point was unclear - fuck those clowns.

i was just listening to Under the Sign of the Black Mark and Hammerheart last night. Odin was saturating my living room. |

This might help:
haha Odin came and pissed all over my walls. |

They opened for the band I was in back in 1995, The Nothings. The shotput smurfies were a bunch of townie jock dickheads then, not much has changed |
and now red sox nation has fully embraced the Dropkicks as their official band... sigh. |
Tessie is one of the worst fucking songs i've ever heard. i hated how they practically took credit for the Sox winning the Series in 04 because of that song. Dropadeuce Murphys. |
Anxiously waiting for one of their moronic fans to stumble across this thread and call us fagorts. |
I have nothing against them. They're the one band I still can't believe blew up. |
I was watching the departed last night, which is a great movie, but is sprinkled repeatedly with that damn shipping up to Boston song. It was painful every time it played. Between films and sports, this is definitely a song suffering from overexposure.
Please Dropkick Murphys,
GO AWAY! |

My girlfriend's dad's band's drummer (SpaceBalls, LOL) is all buddy-buddy with Ken Casey (i.e., the only one left who's not a hired musician), and they (the band) just added that damn song to their set. I'm pretty sure it was for the sole reason that it would annoy the crap out of me; in fact I think I remember them saying as much. (I may have had a few drinks that night.) |
hey Steve, answer your damn work email or I'm pwning you in the fart-off. |
