i sincerely dont get why people think, this board of all boards, will give a shit about their just signed garbage/audible aids band. unless you are Chuck Schuldiner reincarnate (or Dime, LOLOLOLOL) then no one here will probably give a fuck.

yeah dude, seriously. This IS NOT a board about music. Fucking idiots.

did you see how well their other thread went? yeah...

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 30,2007 10:22am
the thing is that this gets listed on the front page and googled on their band page. you would all be amazingly surprised by the breadth of people that come to this site. I some times look at people like "why the f do you go there"
Even if this thread turns all butt hurt, some people will see this and care.

yea thats one thing ive noticed from talking to kids from bands in the area is that about 80-90 percent of the people that view news and info on this board dont post here. mostly because everyone that posts here are a bunch of close minded 30 something year olds who cant get laid so they sit on their computers all day bashing bands that are doing better than there shitty band thats so true and kult that only their girlfriends come to see them, yes the same girlfriends that wont fuck them. ive talked to a crap load of people from various RI and Mass bands that say yea i go to the rttp board to check out shows news and pictures, but i wouldnt post there, all those dudes are a bunch of douche bags. thats why there are so little posts here. pretty much a bunch of closed minded elitists making everyone else feel like there not welcome.

look at the current count. 86 people viewing this page. and there probably wont be more than 20 bulletin responses all afternoon.

I never thought of this site as something that caters to metalheads exclusively, or any one genre. It caters to assholes. I mean, do you think anyone gives a fuck when I say things like how excited I am that Hellnation is playing MDF, or that Six Weeks and Sound Pollution put out awesome releases consistently, or that I'm glad Iron Lung is playing a few shows in New England and hopefully more bands from their scene will come here? Probably not. But yet I managed to slip through the cracks. So if these types of bands are someone's thing and they're just as much of an asshole as anyone else here, who cares?

Somebody's been watching Futurama.

toggletoggle post by yummy at Nov 30,2007 2:12pm
That is exactly true cav. But, it has been this way for quite some time. I do remember that one time a few people actually came together on something and commended eachother's efforts regardless of musical taste. The satire is satisfying.

I'm a 20-nothing close-minded elitist asshole who enjoys tender couplings on the regular and unless your name is George Emmanuel or (insert Tegan Quinn's girlfriend's name here), it's a safe bet that my band is better than yours and my girlfriend hotter. Put that in your pipe and smoke it, hippie.

For those of us that are still on topic here, BG has finished drum tracking and guitars. What we have sounds amazing so far. The single will be debuted live on WUML's The Stress Factor (91.5 FM) this coming Thursday, Dec 6th!!

Many other stations and radio shows will be getting copies including RTTP!!

toggletoggle post by MarkFuckingRichards  at Dec 1,2007 2:57am
Even though I can't fucking stand BG at all and think there is no musical integrity to what they do whatsoever, I still respect them for doing what they like. There are very few musicians/bands that I have little to no respect for; just as long as you're playing music because you want to and aren't screwing over anyone in the process that doesn't deserve it, I can respect it. I hope that there is a little bit more structure to the new BG stuff so they'll at least be listenable. I'll never like the style, but I want to be able to hear some improvement regardless.

toggletoggle post by Foghorn at Dec 1,2007 10:33am
Hell yea! I can't wait to hear the new single!

In other news, the Stress Factor live studio won't be opening until early next year. Our sound proofing was installed incorrectly and we don't want the university blaming bands for fucking it up (because they fucked it up), so we're going to postpone the grand opening until it's fixed. Sorry.

WUML is throwing a party at Fox Hall in Lowell from 4PM-PM on October 13th. I will be airing the Stress Factor live from Fox. So you crazy metalheads should stop by and request a song or two.

And just a quick response to the secondary topic in this thread, I am usually one of those people that only reads these threads and never responds. I read alot of threads and sites and don't respond. I agree with the people that say, "More people read these threads than you think."

Btw, keep an eye out for Stress Factor merch!
