A recent comment by Bill Steer has led many to believe that a Carcass reunion show is possible for this years New England Metal and Hardcore Festival. The comments were made during an interview in which the legendary grind guitarist claimed he is looking forward to "playing some important U.S. festivals this spring." The reunion would not include former drummer Ken Owens due to health reasons.

toggletoggle post by Blue  at Jan 10,2008 4:55pm
ill be kind of pissed if theyre on NEMHF this year. i hope theyre on MDF instead.

toggletoggle post by Pires at Jan 10,2008 5:12pm
its either MDF or NEMHF... obviously... which other "important" US fests are there that anyone gives a shit about?

toggletoggle post by corpus_colostomy at Jan 10,2008 5:18pm

toggletoggle post by Pires at Jan 10,2008 5:25pm

toggletoggle post by mOe  at Jan 10,2008 5:49pm
man, this fest is gonna be light years more expensive than the others if all these rumours are true

toggletoggle post by rilly at Jan 10,2008 5:50pm
Adam D. cites carcass's album heartwork as his defining metal album. So many sick breakdowns and chugga-chugga-chugga!

toggletoggle post by phillip  at Jan 10,2008 8:42pm
NEMHF fucking sucks
I really hope they dont do it

but I suppose they they more money to offer then MDF
they belong on MDF

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 10,2008 8:52pm

I would honestly sit through any number of shitty bands just to see Carcass at NEMHF, but I would much rather see them at MDF since I'm finally going to be able to go this year!

toggletoggle post by xanonymousx at Jan 10,2008 10:46pm
NEMHF was alright last year.
someof the people i hung out with though didn't really get me.
neversaynever jim was the only cool guy really.... rest just locked me out of the hotel room.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Jan 11,2008 10:33am

you may be a fictitious online identity, but the fact that you harbor such intimate knowledge...

a little off-putting, to be quite honest

... and i'm nothing if not honest.

A good troll is a researched troll.

I don't know I how feel about a Carcass reunion, Fartwork and Swansong were that bad.

toggletoggle post by Blue  at Jan 11,2008 4:36pm
heartwork is infinitely better than that piece of trash swansong.

toggletoggle post by pam nli at Jan 11,2008 7:14pm
I kind of hope they don't, I wasn't planning on going this year.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 11,2008 7:37pm
no drunk, no pam.

toggletoggle post by i_am_lazy at Jan 11,2008 7:54pm
That's about the ONLY way I'd go.

Heartwork and Swansong were great. Heartwork is the best thing that band ever did.

Basically. I need to be intoxicated to deal with that many fucking people.

I hate Swansong, but I do highly enjoy Heartwork. Nothing compares to the necroticism or reek of putrefaction. If they play, I'll be there cause it will be awesome.

i'll do your portion of the drinking. just put like chain mail (sp?) over the baby and we'll fuck some shit up.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 21,2008 12:40pm
PS: CARCASS IS NOT PLAYING
since arch enemy is in australia at this time.

toggletoggle post by niflheim at Jan 21,2008 1:54pm
Mike Amott isn't even an original member, what's that matter?

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Jan 21,2008 1:58pm
he's not an original member, but he's involved in the reunion plans with steer and walker, so i doubt they'd play without him.

toggletoggle post by niflheim at Jan 21,2008 1:59pm
That's stupid. He wasn't even involved in the era when Carcass was actually Carcass. Necroticism was the downfall.

toggletoggle post by dreadkill  at Jan 21,2008 2:06pm
i like all their stuff, but i understand where you're coming from. amott had nothing to do with classic carcass.

toggletoggle post by niflheim at Jan 21,2008 2:16pm
I don't blame Amott for their direction change, and I do like Carnage and Arch Enemy's Black Earth and Stigmata; but they should just do a 3 piece set and play nothing but Reek/Symphonies material. Of course I could see them doing the opposite, and playing Heartwork all the way through.

toggletoggle post by J. Mortiz at Jan 21,2008 11:13pm
Heartwork vs Necrotism...??

toggletoggle post by neverpurified  at Jan 21,2008 11:15pm
Necrotism is awesome, the only ones i cant get into are Reek (too noisy for me) and swansong (you can tell they wanted it to be the last one)

toggletoggle post by watchmaker666  at Jan 22,2008 9:25am
If you dont like Reek you are missing the point of Carcass!

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 22,2008 9:38am
I always thought I never cared for tools for the trade, but I just looked it up and I was confusing it with swansong.
