Anyone familiar with this? I have brewed and drank it about 40-50 times in the last couple years. For a while me and my roomate would brew it almost every night. I have great recipes that work "wonders" if anyones interested.

For those of you that aren't familiar, it is a brew made from an MAOI, and a DMT containing plant/root/seed/animal/whatev.. when made correctly "La-purga" will let you see the logos, and still get to bed in about 4 or 5 hours, and actually feel BETTER the next day. No shit.

and people say heavy psychedelic use makes people strange. Ya know there was a huge cult of people i think in New Mexico who had something like 2000 gallons of this stuff siezed, and it went to the supreme court, and just like Peyote for Native Americans, it was considered legal so they gave it all back..

-another funny story, my buddy has the chemical structure for DMT tatooed on his upper arm.... and we got arrested with that along with about 15 other things down the cape last summer, and they had NO IDEA what it was... until they saw his tatoo and looked it up. FAIL .. DMT is a schedule I substance under federal law.. although the judge had no idea what it was either and so let us get off with a continuance without a finding. Thank goodness.

i have never heard of this but i am very interested.

I did the crystal form of DMT or whatever that is produced in a lab. I pretty much blacked out and puked all over the place. Granted i was on a bunch of other drugs. Stupid stupid night..... ahh youth. I remember the initial onset of it though and it was mind blowing.

psychedelics never really had much allure for me. did mushrooms a few times and it was fun, but i dunno... not my thing. plus, i'm a pretty fucking horrible person, so anything that really "opens you up" and puts you on that whole introspective journey-within deal... not such a good time

this stuff really is about the best psychedelic experiance on the planet.. Yes i have smoked it in the freebase form too,and it's a lot of fun, but holy moly it's overwhelming. Done with the tea Ayahuasca (translates into "The Dead Vine") it is much easier to handle, and so, so good.

All of it, it's a hallucinogenic tryptamine, so it has a lot of the same Dopamine/Seratonin properties as say, extasy does, although it doesn't put the strain of an amphetamine on the receptors. It is highly visual, and i mean really highly, like you will see other dimensions if you drink enough, auditory hallucinations are common although outweighed by the visuals, and the introspectiveness is outta control. Talk about a drug that you feel like you have a whole better outlook after. Read some facts about it here:

Interesting fact: Dimethyl-Tryptamine (DMT) is found in your BRAIN!! Thats right, the penial gland, the same gland that produces melotonin also produces DMT. It's theorized that's why people have TRIP like reactions to Near death experiances, or the life flashing before your eyes as you die, because DMT is released when these things happen.

As a freebase you can smoke it by itself, but this is a Schedule I, class A, go to jail for a LONG TIME drug. (unless you get a REAL stupid judge... Whew..) But as a tea you need to combine it with an MAOI (which makes your body break down toxins slower) so that it becomes orally active.

i love mushrooms, perhaps a little too much, and i'm looking for something that does roughly the same thing, but with less of a digestive impact. mushrooms wreak havoc. but i'm only interested in the organic side.

well, like i said, everything to make this tea is found totally in nature, mostly in Brazil, but nonetheless, its all organic. And while you puke on it, every time that is... you puke twenty minutes after you drank it, and you (your stomach) feel/s great for the rest of the night.

ouchdrummer, i've been reading up on this and DMT. you're supposedly supposed to feel "connected" to another universe or dimension. some people even claim seeing and talking to beings.

this is why I'm afraid to indulge in psychedelics. While I might in reality be a much better person morally than 90% of the average schmucks, my mind tends to beat me down pretty hard sometimes, and I don't think giving it free reign would improve anything.

so here's ingrediants.:

20grams finely ground root bark from Mimosa Hostillis (order only the inner bark, you can tell its only inner bark because it will be all pinkish, not brown.)

3 grams of finely ground Syrian Rue seeds. (Put these into a capsule, or roll in a small piece of paper towel and swallow like a pill. (Parachute))

SIMMER the root bark in 4 cups of water (with a TBSP of lemon juice) in a small pan, DO NOT BOIL, with a cover on the whole time. Strain thru t-shirt or something as fine as a tshirt, put the stuff back in the pan, add more water, repeat.

Do this three times, after the third time, put the combined three concoctions on medium heat and let them simmer till there is about 4cups worth of liquid left. Suger the hell outta it when its still hot. Put it in the freezer in a shallow dish for 20 min.

Right when you put the mixture in the freezer to cool, you should take the syrian rue, whether by capsule, or parachute. Make sure that its in you a whole 30min before the tea.

When you drink the tea:

Chug, Chug, Chug-the stuff tastes awful. You are GOING to throw up, and if you try to analize the tastse at all, it will happen a lot sooner. This stuff is really really potent, so its hard to keep it down with that taste in your mouth. I recommend having mouthwash handy for RIGHT after you drink it to wash the taste outta your mouth.

Once you'ce washed out your mouth, dont think your done, you have to seriously focus on staying sitting down, not moving at all, not breathing too heavy, thinking calming thoughts. Actually thinking about sex really halps me not puke, but it might not be the same for everyone.

If you can hold it down for 15min, your probably good, but sometimes you need a little more time that that. After 25min, puke that shit up, because RIGHT after it comes up, you feel wonderful. And your stomache wont bother you at all the rest of the night. UNLESS you take more, which if you like it as much as i do, you might drink more as soon as you realize you've peaked.

Probably could not be explained any better. The experience is like trying to recall a dream and explain it to someone. It just doesn't make sense to put into words. I've had some heavy trips but this was just unparalled. Exotic, spiritual, serene-surrealistic madness.

yup yup. the tea is INMO even more fun. Not because it's more intense... it's only slightly less intense, and you have a good 3-5 hours to enjoy it. There's a lot more introspection to be done in 5 hours then there is in 5 minutes.

Really it was HARD for about 3-5 minutes, then I wandered like a burnt out gypsy hippie for 10 additional minutes piecing myself back together.
