Ours are fucking horrible and stressful. I truly hope we do not have one this year. Never have open bar due to legal issues -- always a chance some dirtbag will crash his/her car and try to sue (we have some real beauties here).

My company's usually bad. Our reception is "scheduled" for 3 hours of open-bar madness; after that, one of the bosses usually brings us to some bar and pays for a tab. It's like 6 hours of open bar.

2 years ago we got trashed and ate chinese food.
some asshole who hated everyone who worked here reported it to the higher ups.....now we are not allowed holiday parties.

technically, you're not supposed to go overboard on drinking at holiday events. it's supposed to make you look bad. most people do it, though. i'm lucky my company still does them. they "banned" us having shots because some snitch bitch woman complained that a co-worked was too loud after having a shot. she wasn't even drunk.
