AND THEN TO RAIN ACROSS SOUTHEAST MASSACHUSETTS AND RHODE ISLAND BETWEEN 4 AND 8 AM. A BRIEF PERIOD OF FREEZING RAIN IS ALSO POSSIBLE ACROSS A FEW LOCATIONS. TOTAL SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS OF BETWEEN 1 AND 2 INCHES ARE EXPECTED. THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED CLOSEST TO THE MASSACHUSETTS TURNPIKE... WHERE THERE COULD BE SOME ISOLATED 3 INCH AMOUNTS.
