drudkh ultimately turned into a myspace band (love the band still). they've got like 10 unofficial myspace pages.. and personally I think the new WIITR is a sub-par american drudkh ripoff with a bunch of myspace followers. but it's a good listen regardless. just not too huge on them, that's all.

Upon further listening, I don't like Black Cascade as much as Two Hunters, but it's still pretty good. And I assume it starts at 9, like most Great Scott shows do.
I guess what I mean by myspace band is that sometimes it's a little challenging to find some Drudkh releases (for a reasonable price). after forgotten legends, that band spread like wildfire through myspace and file networks.
And most people don't know what Hate Forest is. Or Astrofaes. Saddens me to no end.
If I am back home before 9 I will head out with the video camera. I used to tape at the Great Scott. Got some quality retro videos of WitchTomb, Revocation, Hekseri, RichHorror blocking the camera
aril will be the tallest person there. no wonder he gets good video. it's like when fred puts pebble and bambam onto of the brontosaurus's head at the drive in.
Yes, I met him at New England Deathfest last year and it was actually a civil conversation. People on this board who have met me in real life don't really have a problem with me after. I'm pretty easy to get along with when given the chance.

presale is very good but still plenty of tickets left at the door, though getting there early is recomended
whoah! I just saw justin from portland.amazing. I haven't seen that dude in years.
krallice was pretty awesome. I think the drummer had issues with his change up going from blasts to non-blasts and back, he tripped up a bunch. This is colin (behold the arctopus, disrhythmia) band. I guess. I didn't really know that. Their set was almost one long blistering track. I wasn't shitting on the drummer cause he played super nice and super fast.
a storm of light: they were so good. Even better than the show at OB. They had a projector going and instead of the female vocals being tracked, they had a girl front and center to do the girl vocals. It sounded so good, but when she got up there, the drummer got blocked by her shadow for the whole set. Note to photog's, start with the available light shots if they have the girl with them or you will miss your chance with the drummer after the first song. these guys are basically the polar opposite of krallice, tempo-wise. but they were wicked heavy.
Must have just sold out right before I got there. Disappointing. Driving in and out of Allston just adds insult to injury. Rev, we've talked a few times over the years...one of these days i'll connect the name to the face for ya :P
I'm so pissed I missed most of this show. I was able to get in to see the first 2 bands but my friends couldn't get in because it sold out so I had to leave with them. They were my ride back to NH. What a shitty night trying to get out of MA.
