Charles Rangel (Douche-NY) the suspected tax cheat who is being investigated by the house ethics committee for tax evasion and several other sizeable crimes, has introduced another *DRAFT* bill. This is at least his 3rd attempts to institute a mandatory state of universal servitude here in the US that I am aware of.

The bill is H.R. 5741 "Universal National Service Act" and it will give the president the authority “To require all persons in the United States between the ages of 18 and 42 to perform national service, either as a member of the uniformed services or in civilian service in furtherance of the national defence and homeland security, to authorise the induction of persons in the uniformed services during wartime to meet end-strength requirements of the uniformed services, and for other purposes.”

It has been referred to the House Committee on Armed Services, which is chaired by Rep Ike Skelton, and the bill will hopefully die there. If you would like to help bring about the bills death, you can contact Ike Skelton by clicking here!!

thiss isss actually SLARRRRR
..and its a red herring. Rangel is against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and is basically doing this as a publicity stunt to "call the bluff" as it were of the politicians who support those wars and the members of the citizenry who are apathetic, the idea being that if you or your children are actually subject to the draft you'll think twice about voting republican or some shit.
i think what he actually said was something like it was going to make voting congresspersons less likely to put their own offspring in harms way but im sure anyone whose passed 9th grade history is skeptical of that

P.S. not supporting or attacking the guy, just adding my two cents based on what ive read regarding this.

Only passive-aggressive reverse-psychology political-backtraces are real.
