and this is why the guatemalan insanity peppers are soooooo deadly. |

Oh, the arrogance of our everdirty imperialist cock. |
ha, couldn't they just let this one go? I realize it's fucking sick, and terribly wrong.... but it was 60 years ago. The only POSSIBLE reason that we came out with this apology is that someone else was about to uncover it. |
why on earth did we do that to begin with??!.................. Apologize that is. |
Are they also going to apologize for the non intentional ones?
This sort of reminds me of that SNL skit where James Bond had to contact all the women he slept with to tell them he had every STD/STI imaginable. |
We apologize for shit that happened decades ago all the time. It's oral masturbation. I'm sure the people who lost loved ones because of this feel much better now. Someone give the government a cookie. |
just give them a bunch of casinos...worked for the native americans |
fucking liberals, always apologizing for america |
If the govt starts apologizing for all of this country's atrocities in the last 60 years, they will be apologizing for the NEXT 60 years. |
This is really but a small sliver of the iceberg of what this country has done to the Guatemalans... When will we apologize for arming, training, and financing various fascist death squads that terrorized the country with political genocide from the late 60's into the 80's??? It was bad enough that we couldn't stand democracy in the country, but then |
Shit, unintentional Qik Reply!
It was bad enough that we couldn't stand democracy in the country, but then the ruling juntas we sponsored over the next decade or so just couldn't get excited enough about "pacification" of the populace, particularly those who had dared to participate in the brief democratic state of the 40's and early 50's. "Fortunately", spooks and "military advisers" were by the mid-60's developing some handy repressive assassination squads in Vietnam, and were able to build up similar programs in Central America... Though of course, unlike the infamous Phoenix Program in Vietnam, the death squads in Guatemala were on the winning side and lasted a hell of a lot longer. |
