Well, he said guitar strapped down to his ankles and tribal riffs, so I thought it was a joke post and was just completing the thought, all joking aside there are obviously plenty of uses for a seven-string. I very briefly had a lefty seven-string Schecter some years back, couldn't afford to keep it at the time so I only held on to it for about a week but I certainly didn't get it because I wanted to play Korn.

In all seriousness, I have an Ibanez RG7620 I'm half-considering ditching. Good, solid guitar...just want another one of my crazy Gary Kramers so I don't have to worry about losing out on the extra frets if I need to go to my backup guitar.

I was gonna get one, but then realized I'd only have the extra string for looks, so I went against the idea. I use all 6 strings on my six, but I just couldn't justify spending the money for one extra string that I'll barely use.

Not yet. I do plan to eventually, but I'm waiting on Gary Kramer to release a production version of a prototype guitar I've seen. Want to hang on to my RG until it's at least announced.
