New site? Maybe some day.
Thanks, I liked their last one, will check out when I get home. |
Listening now. Diggin' it. |
Yup yup, this is going on in the living room when i get home! |
I'll play it through my surround sound at the same time. MINDS WILL BE BLOWN. |
The end of the last song on this album is tasty as fuck. |
i'll have to check this out. i felt like the guitars were a bit too wankerish for my taste on their last album, but the drummer is nasty as fuck. saw them live last year with Augury and Black Dahlia, was a bit disapointed he opted out of the drum solo that night, lazy fucker! i wanna see some god damn drum solos you fuck! |
its good, but i too often hear discarded necrophagist riffs in their songs. i love some of it, get annoyed by some of it. but the best part about this band is definitely Jeroen Paul Thesseling (Pestilence) on bass though. |
yea, that motherfucker was insane live. he uses a fretless bass right? |
HI, BASS PLAYER HERE, NO RESERVATIONS WHATSOEVER LOL |
love love love it. This record is both more extreme than their last, and more prog-E. Very tasty. |
this band is extremely hard for me to listen to an entire song. |
not usually super into the style, but this does it for me. hearing a lot more Morbid Angel in this one. |
agreed. I think this is a huge step from Cosmogenesis, and i listen to that record frequently. |
i dont really like it too much. it sounds exactly like the first 90% of the time with thicker production except when there are clean vocals and a couple of slower parts. its cool at first, then gets pretty boring because it just meshes together.
bass player rapes. |
that's crazy, this record is straight amazing. I believe this is my favorite "tech" cd to come out in a couple years. Steve hit the nail on the head, it's all dark and evil, and therefor sounds like Morbid Angel... most tech-death bands have a silly almost "goofy" feel to them, especially ones that get as prog-ish as this record.. This record isn't even a little goofy, it's devastating. |
the guitar playing on this album is fucking ridiculous. the solo on velocity is incredible. |
Downloading. Pretty excited to hear after reading this thread.
Their bassist is fucking orgasmic. I dont love most of Obscura's music but they are all crazy musicians. |
Wow this is awesome. Reminds of Spawn of Possession, but a little bit darker and faster. Bass player fucking kills. This is so awesome. |
Just downloaded from the mediafire link. It was nice of whoever ripped this to rip it at what sounds like 96kbps bitrate, and THEN convert it to 192kbps so that it still sounds like garbage. I'm going to look for another rip somewhere.
Wait... it looks like it's just track 1 that sounds like shit. All the others are fine. Weird.
Yeah I downloaded that rip too, don't want. I've been listening to the new Neuraxis anyway, it's my favorite tech death album since the latest Deeds of Flesh. |
yeah, the whole thing sounded fine from the original link. |
Yup, i burnt cds from the original link and they sounded totally fine. Mike, we listened to them in the living room, and all the tracks sounded killer.... i wonder what happened to make the first track suck when you guys downloaded it.
Aril - Yup, the guitar work on "velocity" blows my fucking mind... but so does all of the instrumentation on the record. I can't frieking believe how good it is. Some of the beats on this are so fucking bizarre.... like not only poly-metric, but big time groovy-in the pocket, and so dynamic.. i seriously get a boner every time i put this record on; which has been at least twice daily. I listen to it while I shower every morning.
If you haven't gotten this yet, i implore you to. It rules uber hard. |
More like bonerocity, then. |
i feel like i am the only person who thinks the bassist is annoying. i can't even listen to their last cd due to the bass being WAY too loud. totally unnecessary. i found this disc to be a better mix, though. pretty fucking tight. |
complain about it, faggot. |
The first song is definitely messed up in that link... jim maybe you listened to the version i gave you when they released the single?
Also, the bass is not too loud, bite your tongue sir (although I do agree the guitars were mushy. They sound 100% clearer on this one) |
all i said was "hey bitch! nice camel toe!" |

Like i fucking already said, they must have changed the link, because i burnt the cd that i've listened to a hundred times straight from what i downloaded at work, not from my PS3 at home, which is where the track you gave me is..... Asshole! |
Never listened to this band, just DLed the album this afternoon.
May have fallen head over heels. |

In this post: Rowan missed out on the tech-death explosion of the past 5 years |
that video isn't there anymore, so i'm not sure what song it is, but i bet it's the 2nd track off of the record. I've specifically played that track at 2:40 for a buddy so he could hear the sick riff. |
its the instrumental one with some cynic like vocals at the end, it might be the first track idk |
well that SORTA sums up the whole record.... pick a track, pick a time.... AAANNNNNDDDD. awesome riff action!!! |
this album is great but makes me want to quit guitar :-/ |
I totally understand. The drumming is definitely wonderful, but not quite to the difficulty of the guitar. I'm really glad you gave it a chance Jim, i knew you'd like it if you did. |
I The drumming is definitely wonderful |
There it is again...hahaha |
