Vintage Ampeg V4 Head - 6 Knob Non-Master Volume

Recently Serviced, Everything Works Great.

I spent a small fortune buying Vintage NOS Tubes for the amp. The output section has a Quad of NOS RCA Metal Base 7027a's. They really bring the amp to life, and are extremely Rare, selling for $100+ per tube. Check them out here: http://www.tubeworld.com/7027a.htm
The Pre-Amp has an assortment of NOS Mullard and Brimar 12ax7's, as well as other quality tubes.

This V4 screams. 100 Watts of Great Cleans, Crunchy Brown Distortion when pushed, and a Spring Reverb. Also has rocker switches over the Volume and EQ controls to adjust the sensitivity.. dB for the Volume and Frequency for the EQ.

Was made for Guitar, but many Bass players choose the V4 for it's Headroom.

The Cosmetic shape is decent, considering that the amp is 40+ years old! There are some minor tears/scratches in the tolex. One of the strap handles was replaced (you'll notice in the picture that the right handle is chrome and the left one is black).

for just the head? theyve been going on craigslist for between 400-600. just an fyi.

My asking price is what it is because of what I spent on the NOS Tubes. I've played a couple V4s with the JJ 7027a, which are the only current production 7027a tube I'm aware of.. the NOS RCAs I've got in the output section take the amp to a higher level.

i figured it was useless to ask for the price cuz i knew i couldn't afford it, and i was right. @ chriskar; with those tubes in it, thats a fucking bargain, if i was signed to a major label i'd snap that shit up in a heartbeat. ;)

Plus I got NOS Mullard, Brimar, RCAs in the Preamp.
