I saw Nightstick open for Anal Cunt and Insult at The Rat in Sept 1995. Nightstick had one of the most awesomely incomprehensible bass sounds I have ever experienced - something like a combination of a nuclear reactor imploding and a '72 Alfa Romeo with a dying muffler attempting to back up. Unreal. |

I slept on Nightstick forever. When I first heard them I was a high school moron that didn't have the patience for anything slow that wasn't Black Sabbath. Very much regretted it years later. This should be really cool. |

Hoax is a good band live, but I just don't understand all the hype. People go nuts for this band and their records are some of the most boring shit I've ever heard. |

Yea when I saw them it basically just seemed like they brought a whole crew of underaged drunk kids to try to make the pit seem really violent and overwhelming, but I was just kind of standing there while they bounced off me like pinballs and the 4'10" singer tried to look menacing by hitting himself with the mic and snarling. I still think the music is pretty good though, but the hype is way overplayed.
Still, at least they don't have 'secret' identities. |

Yes, that is the original Padoinka, aka GOIS. Gois and Alex, the bass player from Nightstick used to hang with GG Allin back when GG was in Boston. You can see Gois and a guy named Tibbs in the video where GG fucks the dead cat.
Not sure who padoinka will be this time around, it was Tom Walsh from CWAF from 1995 until 2001, then it was Doil. Gois was the best though. Someone needs to tape this shit!! |

I also think it's badass that Rob holds a degree from Emerson College. Makes me proud to be an alum. |
