finally got this online, I just skimmed through most of it.

the first few tracks are pretty sick, then track 4 comes on (remove yourself) and the record becomes insanely Nu-metal and almost unrecognizable as a candiria album anymore. the next track, almost as bad.

I am going to go cry now.

the singing is all reggae based (how is that nu) and the guitar is poppy (not even metal)... call it bad, but don't call it nu-metal.

I just got this. Three tracks suck completely. Just some poppy shit. The hiphop track is sick! the Jazz track is spacy. Carley's vocals are SUPER weak in comparison to any of their previous work. I miss blending of genres they used to do in one song. Like in one song you'd hear metal, jazz, hiphip and that's not really true anymore. But, I still love this album and will be buying it for the 7 tracks that I do like on it.

Beyond reasonable doubt and surrealstic madness kills. I dont know about this new one though. Most of it sounded bad live. New malevolent creation disc?? Damn hope it sounds like retribution......

I've been rocking this CD a lot lately. Carly's new vocals take a bit to get used to, but once you get past that and a few of the radio songs, this CD is amazing. Vacant is so fucking good. 100% Candiria. None of this is new news to me, but I don't know if I've posted some What Doesn't Kill You love before so I'm doing it now.

And fuck it, the radio songs on this CD are really fucking good too. Still has amazing musicianship and sounds like Candiria.

I bought this CD for a dollar at our local record shop. Half the songs are solid, half are so generic that even I’m like “ehhhhh really?”
