I want to do more of it and I probably will. I use windows so I use premiere pro. What sucks is that I can't get premiere to sync them for me. So what I need to do is sync the audio (from my zoom h4n) and the video from the continuous camera (a yi 4k camera). Then I separate my D750 and D4 into different tracks. Then I find where the first video syncs to and mark the time of that. Then take the time of the file and add on the delta time to figure out about where it sits in the time line.
just go in front of your gear, hit record on it, and give a big clap. then you can easily sync the waveforms. I have premier pro as well but generally use final cut. premier is honestly the superior program but what I love about final cut is it automatically syncs multi-cam clips by analyzing the audio waveforms which is extremely convenient if you have a bunch of different clips and audio tracks that begin recording at different times.
