neat venue, but the PA needs to be better so it lasts the whole show. the ceiling is a little low. every one's set seemed a little short too.

reach out: I missed them due to 3 1/2 hour traffic jam! got a demo though.

still crossed: I walked in while they were playing. I snapped a couple pictures. they were pretty good posi stuff.

the risk taken: ok, they sound totally different from that fest room they played a few weeks ago. the way the singer moves sometimes reminds me of carl from nora.

for some reason, the drumers on the next 3 bands sounded suspiciously like bury your dead...

black my heart: so the band's changed up a bunch. rob wolfe (solipist) filled in on guitar on their tour but was back at school for this show. because of this they were playing as a 4 piece. you want a real big surprise? check who's on drums. that's right chrisFSD is on drums now so it sounds a lot more moshy, the kick was wicked punchy and deep. derek is singing now. it was funny to hear him actually just sing and not playing a guitar. I was sort of hoping to hear the toa-scream... but he didn't.

the acacia strain: mark from BYD is filling in on drums for them. I guess their old drummer quit and they were looking for a new one. any how, their set started out with the PA crapping out. the first song or two was done with out it. they got together some people's equipment to do the vocals for the rest of the set. after that little bump, they continued, playing a brand new song.

bury your dead: I think this was the first time I've seen them with the new guitarist. the chord or something crapped out on them so the first 2 songs had no vocals. if you look at the pictures, you can see that matt is screaming with out the mic. after that they fixed it and continued on. a lot of new songs in their set. the crowd was "RaRaRa"ing to all the micing.. but... no "dododododod"... weird. a lot of people rolled in right before byd went on. it was weird that a cieling was that close to the ground and it survived a byd show.
there was also an incident towards the end of the set.. but I won't go into details.
