I think that the recent releases they did don't capture what they are trying to do. Live it's what it is all about. Personally I like the older "raw" stuff where laura's vocals are the low/growling ones and the guy does the high piched singing. On the recent release, she does more higher singing that the guy. I liked the drum stuff... there was one part where both drummers were playing perfectly and super fast. I thought jonah would have blue balls after that. Anytime you have people that just have toms, there is only so much you can do and so much sound you can get out of them. it always sounds like "the natives are restless" to me. One thing that was different is that laura carried all of the guitar parts for almost the whole set. The other guitarist came in and out since he was doing guitar/theramin/drum-circle. This sometimes made the guitars sound very quiet since there were no rhythm guitar noise behind her lead.
