...but I've come to the realization that 13 Winters really aren't that bad. Yeah, I made fun of 'em on here once or twice in the past, but that was mostly bandwagon jumping...didn't really check out their music. Even if you don't like their music (Which isn't as bad as people here make it out to be...at least give 'em credit for trying), they're really cool people. They helped me make sure my ride got to the Fitchburg Airport to pick me up from Locobazooka, and I didn't even do anything for them (Well, until after using one of their cell phones numerous times, I helped them load their equipment back into their van. I figured it was the least I could do)

Yeah, they go overboard on their site with the descriptions and stuff. But it's just good cheesy fun, like Manowar or Cradle of Filth.

I figure the guys deserve a little defense on here.

I worked locobazooka's Harder/faster stage this sunday and Thirteen Winters was amazing. They rocked the crowd even though they where the first band on at 10am. They Had the largest crowd out of the four stages at that time slot. People who bash them seem to not have any clue what music is about. Especialy Metal. If you are not into a bands music that is fine. But the metal community was based on bands breaking away from the mainstream and creating intense music that comes from the soul. And they do that. And sitting on a computer and bashing a band no matter who it is, or what genre is just flat out basic ignorance. Instead of taking time out of your day to bash a band why not take the time and learn how to play an instrument and form a band. And if you are in a band why waste the time talking ignorant B.S. and do something productive for your band like, book shows, find contacts, or even maybe practice. Anyway when I was working the Stage they where the indie band that was being talked about the most by guys from Candiria, Kittie, All that Remains,Dicast,Shadows Fall, hexerei. It was cool to see a maine band getting good feedback from some great metal bands. I realy think that is going to mean more to the people in thirteen winters then any online banter from a few people who have way to much time on there hands.

nothing more than 13 winters getting their friends to come here and post good things about them. I'd like to hear what candiria / atr would have to say about 13 winters. I'm almost sure it wouldn't be anything positive.
